This is not our first marathon. Lorna Jane has been on the sustainability journey for quite some time.
Where We Currently Stand
Reusable Bags:
Since 2012, we've replaced plastic bags with reusable store bags, encouraging our customers to partake in our sustainability efforts.
Corporate Sustainability Efforts:
At our corporate offices, we've reduced printer usage by 82% since 2019, installed solar panels to meet our energy needs sustainably, and implemented communal recycling and waste management systems to enhance our environmental stewardship.
Recycled Materials:
Our labels are made from 100% recycled card, and our brochures are produced from recycled paper, aligning with our goal to reduce waste and reuse materials.
Compostable Options:
We've introduced compostable garment bags and online mailer bags to reduce plastic waste and enhance biodegradability.
Paperless Practices:
In our stores, we've eliminated the use of customer receipts and thermal printers, opting for a paperless approach that extends to online order receipts as well. This initiative significantly reduces our paper usage.
Recycled Cartons:
We've eliminated additional packaging around customer receipts to further minimise waste.
